Town of Killingly Seeking Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for 140 Main Street

The Town of Killingly is seeking development proposals for 140 Main Street, Killingly, CT, 06239, formerly known as the John Tighe Building. The proposed mixed use development shall be designed to create compatible development of vacant storefronts and generate property taxes. The developer will finance the construction of the proposed development. The proposal should include the framework of the proposed public/private partnership. The Town is open to all potential options for this site as it is located in the center of downtown and is critical to the economic health of Main Street. The Town of Killingly is a member community of the CT Main Street Center and located in the National Heritage Corridor named the Last Green Valley. The property is also located in the National Historic Downtown Main Street District.

Documents comprising the Request for Qualifications may be obtained on the Town’s website www.killinglyct.gov, under the Finance Department section; or in person at Town of Killingly Finance Office, 172 Main Street, Killingly, CT, 06239. Proposals will be received until 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Finance Office, 172 Main Street, Killingly, CT 06239.
