Outstanding Branding or Promotion of Economic Development Organization: Connecticut Economic Resource Center – City of Meriden Billboard Campaign, Meriden, CT
The City of Meriden sought to develop electronic billboard signage to promote Meriden as a great place to live, work and play. Through an agreement with a media firm who was locating a new digital billboard on city-owned property along route I-91 in Meriden, the city had access to the advertising billboard for its use. CERC’s research revealed that it had been many years since the city had developed a new logo/tagline. The target audience for the billboard was a wide range of users-- all who would benefit from having more knowledge of Meriden as a great place to live, work and play.  Meriden community groups have expressed “overwhelming support” for the billboard campaign.  https://www.cerc.com/
