CEDAS, the Connecticut Economic Development Association, is a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing the practice of economic development within the state of Connecticut. The Association encourages communication among its members by providing a forum for discussion and information exchange.
CEDAS presented the Town of West Hartford and Bob Weinner of Blue Back Square Development LLC a CEDAS Project Award in recognition of the town's successful integration of Blue Back Square – a mixed-use development – into their existing downtown. The $160 million project, which utilized the space of a former car dealership, includes 200,000 sq ft of retail space, 200,000 sq ft of office space and 200,000 sq ft of residential (62 condos and 51 apartments).
