CEDAS regularly sponsors or co-sponsors programs and seminars on legislation, financing, labor, regionalism, environmental issues and other topics of interest to economic development professionals. Periodically, CEDAS offers professional development seminars accredited through the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
CEDAS distributes a regular enewsletter reporting on CEDAS news, statewide economic development issues and events, the status of legislation, training programs and employment opportunities.
Technical assistance for initiating an economic development program or solving an economic development problem is available at no cost to CEDAS members who request it. CEDAS professionals are experienced in every aspect of economic development, providing a valuable resource for other members.
Members considering economic development training programs may apply for a CEDAS scholarship to defray some of the cost for educational programs. The scholarship committee establishes criteria for awarding this benefit.
With professionals from all aspects of the economic development field, as well as those from a number of related fields, CEDAS meetings give members access to those on the pulse of economic development in Connecticut.
